Hello Summer...

Saturday, 27 June 2015

Summer is upon us, and I hope this weather is here to stay! Considering it's meant to reach 30°C where I live next week, I'm pretty hopeful, and I also have a feeling I will get more wear out of my new hat and shorts. Here's my casual outfit of the day...

Stripes on Easter...

Sunday, 5 April 2015

So it's been a while, guys... I guess juggling coursework, university applications, open days, interviews and trying to have a life just took all my time away! However, things seemed to have finally calmed down slightly.

Anyway, I've missed blogging and can't wait to get back to it! So to welcome myself back into this routine I present you with my outfit of the day for Easter Sunday. I opted for some comfy clothes for this day spent with family - a pair of slightly distressed dungarees, a striped long sleeve shirt, a oversized, comfy cardigan and my high top Converse!

Autumn Time

Saturday, 11 October 2014

Autumn is here, which means it's time for the return of jumpers and tartan prints! I love the skirt in this outfit, but my favourite part is definitely my new boots...

A/W Missguided Wishlist

Sunday, 5 October 2014

1.) Orla Faux Fur Leather Biker Sleeve Coat Red Check - I've always strayed away from statement coats, relying solely on the usual parkas and duffle coats. However, when I was browsing on Missguided I came across this beauty. I absolutely love the contrast of materials within the one coat, and I especially like the fur collar. I think it'd make the perfect winter coat, as not only does it look gorgeous, it seems like it'd keep me warm too (which is a necessity with winter in the UK!)

2.) Cecily High Waist Supersoft Skinny Jeans Khaki - For me, khaki is one of the main colours that epitomises autumn! For the past few years, I've told myself at the start of autumn I'll buy a pair of khaki jeans, but never actually get round to doing so. This year, I'm going to try to leave behind the usual, boring denim jeans I own and purchase a pair of khaki and burgundy jeans!

3.) Jill Tartan Tailored Blazer Green - I couldn't help but think of Alexa Chung as soon as I saw this blazer, and considering I absolutely adore her sense of style, I was quick to feeling tempted to click that Add to Bag button. I love the cool colours, I think dark greens and deep blues are perfect for autumn! I'm also yet to own a blazer, so I think this would be a great one to start with, especially as I love the fit!

4.) Sam Quilted Detail Buckle Ankle Strap Boots - Save the best for last! I am in love with these boots, and particularly like that the heel is not too big as I'm quite tall. It also means that I can wear them in the day with a casual outfit to dress it up just a little. My favourite part is the buckle and the cut out beneath the strap. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be ordering these boots this week!

Arrival of Autumn

Wednesday, 27 August 2014

With the near arrival of autumn, my outfit of the day was inspired by the changing of the season. I paired a cream cashmere jumper with a light weight, printed skirt and a pair of leather fur lined booties...

Today Begins with Tea: Proper Tea

Friday, 8 August 2014

I love cities. I love the rushed atmosphere, all the people, the surroundings. But sometimes the chaos can be slightly overwhelming. Because of this, it's nice to find a place of tranquility. I find that these come best in the form of cafes and little restaurants. When in Manchester yesterday, I took it upon myself to try out a cafe at Manchester Cathedral called Proper Tea. It had a cute exterior, and looked rather inviting.

Even though I loved the exterior of the tea room, the interior was even better. The inside was designed in the loveliest way, and everything had a very natural feel to it. Little things like the menus being delivered on clipboards, the small flowers on the table and the counter being made out of parts of old doors gave it a very unique look. Proper Tea was like no where I had ever been, which made me like it even more.

DIY: Pocket Design

Wednesday, 6 August 2014

Today my more creative side came out and I decided to jazz up a t-shirt I'd bought from H&M. I'd gotten inspiration from a lot of Brandy Melville pocket design t-shirts I'd seen in store. The process was very simple and the changed shirt was finished in just half an hour. Here's what I did...
